Savory Sauce Mix:

1 (1 oz) packet dry onion soup mix

2 cups beef broth

3 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

3 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Season and Sear the Steaks:
    Pat ribeyes dry. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme. Sear in hot olive oil for 1 minute per side until browned.

  2. Prepare the Crock Pot:
    Place steaks in crock pot. Top with sliced onions and mushrooms.

  3. Mix and Add the Sauce:
    In a bowl, whisk together garlic, dry soup mix, broth, ketchup, Worcestershire, and cornstarch. Pour over steaks and vegetables.

  4. Slow Cook to Perfection:
    Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until steaks are tender but not falling apart.

  5. Rest and Serve:
    Remove steaks and let rest 10 minutes. Spoon the mushroom-onion gravy over the top and serve hot.
